MRT Bully Detained, Refuses to Apologize

After angering netizens with a harassment on the MRT, the alleged bully has finally surfaced from all the controversy. The alleged bully, Mr. Liao 廖 was summoned to the police precinct for a written statement. He claims that before boarding the MRT, Christopher bumped into him and did not apologize. Liao confronted Christopher and “lost his cool” when Christopher’s girlfriend started filming him. Liao also said he regretted what he did after the incident.

Upon leaving the police precinct, Liao was swarmed by reporters but declined to comment. He kept silent and left the scene quickly.

Mr. Liao

ISS, Liao’s employers, said in a statement to local media that it would be handling the matter internally and that Liao will be punished according to company regulations. ISS’s Facebook page has been bombarded with hate mail.

He’s already at the cleaners…after mocking the other guy for not having money, it turns out he’s a janitor.

I’d done no exchange of words, but an elbow-blow into that s.o.b-face and beat some form of respect and senses into him!
I’m sorry, but after living way over a decade in TW in only can relate to the plurality of incidents – which had happened to me.
Btw, I’ve had over 100 -non fault- traffic accidents in TW, and 2 previously in other countries, since driving since 1969.
Taiwanese, based upon my experience, are selfish and rude, maybe not racial, but extremely selfish.

if you dont think its an (excessively) common thing you’re living under the big feng shui rock at the front of the building. its the strangest thing you dont experience living in any modern or many developing foreign countries. taiwan doesnt even have a “race” so you can’t even call it racism. maybe can only call it insecurity. lotta guys like this one in taiwan, so obviously passive aggressive and eventually blow. any wonder why the girls dont like him/them? and its an island. every single thing and person came from somewhere else and is all mixed blood, and we know most are recently arrived…unless… you are a mystical yonaguni pyramid ancestor (japanese? after ~10,000BC sea level). even europeans living in taiwan 400 years ago, or romans there 2000 years ago. and someone before that. daily a solo foreigner guy will usually just be ignored, except for the random wannabe tough guy raised by monkeys staring tryin to be hard- a definite beat down or even killed in many countries, but they act like its high school or something. but then, any non-chinese? looking guy (whatever that is- there’s even whiter taiwan and mainland born people), simply walking with any remotely chinese looking? girl (american, canadian, brit, hong kong, singapore, indo/malaysia, mainlander, japanese…) and its instant hard looks from A LOT of taiwan guys of all ages, and often old women too. if you look like a chump they might bother the guy, but usually they’ll just stare down the asian looking girl. terrible. and every single nonchinese guy will tell you the same thing, its daily. need to break out the hidden cameras, cell phones, and prank shows, get these people on the centralized racist taiwan youtube channel for the whole world to see. btw, these types little brains got a rough time coming with the necessary increased student and worker importing already being implemented for taiwans economy to sustain/improve.

He’s a proud man speaking his mind.

The foreigner is a weak sausage that can’t defend his girlfriend.

In the youtube video the weak sausage foreigner says that he would protect his girl, yet he does nothing when the proud man is there.

Taiwan need proud men like this. No Foreigner.

    One China.

LOL if Taiwan had nothing but men like this your country would specialize in janitorial services.

You sound as bitter as the guy in the video because your own women don’t want to be with you.

      One China? Hahaha

You’re confusing nationalistic pride with being an asshole.
One of the things that makes Taiwan a much more pleasant place to live in than mainland China is that it has far fewer people who make the same mistake as you do.

John D, this is not a proud man. As he said, he “lost his cool”. He also regrets what he did. And he “left quickly” from the police precinct to avoid reporters. There are many, many Taiwanese living outside of Taiwan–more than there are foreigners living in Taiwan. I sincerely hope that those “foreigner” Taiwanese living outside of Taiwan never have to have such an ugly, hateful, inexcusable encounter wherever in the world they live.

You can see things clearly John. It’s too bad people couldn’t notice the glaring fact of this “sausage” trying to provoke the locals and get free publications and easy money from interviews. There’s plenty of racism problems back in Britain – why criticize Taiwan and not go fix his own country instead?

You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about loser. You know as well as me that in Taiwan, if a foreigner did anything like that he would get put in jail or deported. If you, John, or this asshole on the subway went to any another country and talked like that to someone there, you’d see how “weak” foreigners are. maybe if the Taiwanese police weren’t one of the most incompetent and corrupt originizations in your country it would never have gotten to YouTube.

I have been to Taiwan several times and found the people there friendly and helpful. I have made friends of both male and female there. There are always those people in every country that makes their country look bad. There is no need for name calling here. Everyone has a right to their own opinions.
